Ideas

  • Sex Hormones - Fink's personal research interest has been the way in which sex hormones effect the expression of certain genes in the brain related to behavior, mental state and mood.
  • Recent studies led by him have demonstrated the relationship between Hormones ( Oestrogens) and Mood changes.
  • The effect of these sex hormones are mediated by Serotonin
  • Changes in Serotonin are associated with Schizophrenia, so this could explain the mood changes that manifest in this illness.
